Five Star Call Centers is hiring temporary seasonal agents to support our clients during the holiday rush. As an agent, you’ll help customers with the retail orders. We are hiring full-time and part-time agents to work onsite at our Sioux Falls, SD, and Wichita, KS locations.

Fri., Nov. 26 | 10 am – 1 pm

Mon., Nov. 29 | 1 – 4 pm


Our recruiters will reach out to you by phone during the virtual job fair to ask questions about your skills and job history to see if you are a fit for our open positions. We may try and reach out prior to the fair to ask some preliminary questions.

If you are fit, we will proceed with any assessments needed, such as a typing test.  If the assessment is passed you will then be interviewed on the spot for the position. In some cases a second interview may be scheduled after.  We look forward to learning more about you!

Seasonal Customer Service Agent Job Description

Do you like to come into work and be able to do your job with little to no obstacles?  Come join our team as a call processor.  You will work retail accounts or accounts with a script to follow along.  You will be able to assist a customer from beginning to end of their call.


We are looking for people who enjoy helping others to successfully answer telephone calls from customers inquiring about goods and services from clients of Five Star Call Centers, while providing high-quality service with a helpful, professional attitude.


This particular project is assisting clients with their seasonal holiday ordering from fruit baskets to auto parts!


Position: Customer Success Associate

Work Hours: Shift between 6:00am-11:00pm

Work Days: Mon-Fri & Every Other Weekend 

Paid Training Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm and/or 5:00pm-10:00pm for 1-2 days

Status: Temporary with hours available from 20 to 40 per week (can turn into regular employment pending attendance & performance)

Starting Pay: See above, plus shift differential(extra $1/hr nights & wkds)

Attendance Bonus: Receive a weekly bonus of $50 to $100 for hours worked from 11/28-12/18 paid out weekly on top of your hours worked.  If you work 40 hours that equates to an extra $2.50/hour!


*This is an onsite position working in the Sioux Falls, SD office. 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Manage large amounts of inbound or outbound calls in a timely manner
  • Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics
  • Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Access company and client resources provided to accurately handle the call
  • Seize opportunities to upsell products when they arise
  • Skillfully change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
  • Successfully complete all training sessions
  • Actively participate in efforts to support customer satisfaction and maintain quality
  • Effectively communicate with patience and understanding 
  • Remain positive and professional in all internal and external customer interactions
  • Be available at your desk, maintaining punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times
  • Physically be able to meet the demands of the job within the described work environment
  • Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility and confidentiality in all areas
  • Flexibility to cross train as requested
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality and security as it pertains to the Five Star Electronic Communications Privacy Act
  • Perform other duties as assigned*

  • Work independently
  • Type at a minimum 20 words per minute accurately
  • Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
  • Performs assignments while under limited time frames

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English


Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Previous 1 year customer service experience preferred
  • Prior 1 year call center experience preferred
  • Must be at least 16 years of age


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
  • Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
  • Regularly required to sit
  • Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and control objects
  • Occasionally required to reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or carry loads of up to 30 lbs
  • All standard vision abilities are required
  • All standard hearing abilities are required
