Five Star Call Centers Attends the South Dakota Tourism Conference

Each year, members from Five Star are invited to attend the South Dakota Tourism Conference in Pierre, SD. This event is a tremendous opportunity as our members get to network with many professionals from businesses across the state.

Georgette Weavill, Director of Client Services, attended the conference and had nothing but good things to say, "The large attended crowd was full of energy and enthusiasm which was highly contagious. We were welcomed by many of our partners from SDGFP and South Dakota State Parks to discuss our partnership and build on personal relationships."

The conference was the last under Governor Dennis Daugaard who spoke at the conference along with Lieutenant Governor Matt Michels, Secretary of Tourism James D. Hagen, and many other keynote speakers and breakout session orators.

Dori Spring, who is a Customer Success Manager at Five Star handles much of the business when it comes to SDGFP and SD State parks attended the conference for her first time. "I was amazed at how much goes into generating revenue for the state through tourism. I was able to sit in for Tami Evans Roadmap to Professionalism which was very interactive, engaging, and funny!"

Finally, the conference ended with the Governor's banquet; a wonderful dinner and award ceremony where businesses, and individuals were recognized for their overwhelming contributions to Customer Service, Tourism, Marketing, etc. While we didn't bring home an award this year, we knew that we were among some very worthy winners and felt honored to be part of it all!
